5 Rules to Live By and Lose Weight By!

We came across these five summary rules, over at http://www.commonvoice.com. These rules are very beneficial for weight loss and life in general. Read on for the five simple rules that will help you live a better life, and slim down!

1. Make it a Game!

Make overcoming the challenges that you face along your path a game! Get creative as to how you can overcome them, what tricks you can use to enable you to move further ahead. Do not look at what needs to be done as drudgery, rather view it as something you GET to do! I believe that this unique approach to motivation will help you to create clever ways of overcoming whatever obstacles are in your path.

2. Laugh!

Laugh each day. I well remember how sad I was during my obese years. I rarely laughed and   usually didn't find much humor in anything. I think I was always looking for the negative...which is always there if that is what you seek. Make it your resolve to look for the humor in a situation, which is always there if that is what you seek!

3. Write it Down!

Write down your dreams and goals. Once you know what it is that you truly want out of life, then you are able to create a plan of going about getting it! "People never plan to fail, they fail to plan" and "If you don't know where you are going, how will you know when you get there?" are two of my favorite mottos for life.

4. Take Action!

Each day do something to insure forward progress towards your goals, life betterment and change.  Do not allow ONE day to slip by without having down something to improve your life and that of those around you.

5. Forgive the Past and Move Forward

Forgive the past and move foward with a renewed sense of who you are. Regrets can not exist in a life filled with hope and positive actions. Rid yourself of negative thinking and surround yourself with positive energy.  Realize that if you keep doing what you have always done...you will keep getting the same results that you have always gotten.  Want a different life than the one you are now leading? It is YOUR decision and change is within your grasp. If weight loss is what is holding you back from realizing the life you want, then today is the day to change what you have been doing so that you can start getting the results that you would prefer!
