WeightCasters.com is the joint effort of many different nutrition consultants and registered dietitians. Biographies of some of our more frequent contributors is included below.
David Mass, MS, RD has over 10 years of experience in nutrition consulting and healthy living. In addition to helping hundreds of clients lose weight, David also owns and manages several natural food and health stores throughout New Jersey. He has written and published numerous articles about the connection between spiritual living and proper dieting. He believes strongly that by incorporating spiritual, mental, and emotional routines into daily living, you can acheive permanent weight loss and total wellness.
Heather Campanile, a Registered Dietitian, works as a sports nutritionist for the Parisi Speed School in northern New Jersey where she teaches athletes how to fuel their bodies for optimal performance. Campanile studied at Hunter College, in New York City, and the University of Maryland where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. Before she began working as a nutritionist, Heather was an assistant editor for Sephora.com´s health and beauty magazine, appearing on NBC´s Weekend Today and Fox Five´s Good Day New York. In 2006, she will receive her Master of Science degree in Nutrition Education and Food Science from Montclair State University. Heather is a member of the American Dietetic Association as well as the SCAN (Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition)practice group.
Tammy Lakatos Shames and Elysse ("Lyssie") Lakatos, RD, CPT share more than identical features; they share identical success in the competitive field of nutrition and wellness. The Nutrition Twins have had stellar achievements in New York City, where they have built a successful private practice servicing both individual and corporate clients such as AOL-Time Warner and Colgate Palmolive. The Lakatos sisters received their post-graduate degrees in nutrition education at Emory University and Meredith College.
