Calorie Saving Pumpkin Pie

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, but don’t use that as an excuse to break out your “elastic-waist band” pants. If you want to enjoy Thanksgiving this year but still want to fit into your clothes one way you can cut calories is to trade in your pecan pie for a slice of pumpkin. You’ll save about 200 hundred calories and can still enjoy dessert!

Calorie Saving Taco

Substitute ground white-meat turkey for ground beef when you make tacos. With all of the seasonings and fix-ins you use for tacos – your family will never miss the ground beef and you’ll be saving HUNDREDS of calories.

Calorie Saving Grilled Cheese

Heather Campanile, RD suggests:

If you love grilled cheese, but hate the fat – try using spray butter on the outside of the bread instead of regular butter. It will save you at least 100-calories and makes a perfectly crispy grilled cheese sandwich!
